Join a country-wide effort to host four days of participatory media making from the Peoples’ Social Forum (PSF) taking place in Ottawa on Algonquin Territory this August 21-24, 2014 

ALTERNATIVE MEDIA CENTRE 

Drop-in at the Alt Media Centre to access workspaces, a meeting room, a pirate radio station (Peoples’ Radio) and audio editing facilities, storage space, and of course wifi and coffee & snacks. Participate in daily meetings and check-ins during the PSF to collectively coordinating production on all platforms in French and English: audio, video, broadsheets, blogging, tweeting, and other social media 

PEOPLES’ RADIO!

Volunteer to engineer or host at Peoples’ Radio. The studio will be located outside on the terrace of UCU (Jock Turcot University Centre) near Morisset Library and the broadcast will live online and over pirate radio, from 9am - 8pm (EST) every day. And join the French or English teams hosting live coverage with panels, interviews and short pre-prodcued content daily on Peoples’ Radio from 5pm – 6pm (ENG) & 6pm – 7pm (FRN) //

We will have an Alternative media centre at the forum with daily "story meetings" every morning to collaborate on the documentation of the PSF.
NOTE: The PSF will organize daily press conferences at 9am to discuss the highlights of each day of the forum, and allow press to meet with some of the presenters and keynotes.
